After discussing your needs and opportunities, I customize a proposal that contains specific objectives, measures, and options for how we may work together to achieve your desired outcomes.

Each engagement is different. Each one has different variables at play, actors, strengths, weaknesses, markets, etc… Not to mention that each business is in a different stage in its life cycle.

I will talk over with you what your goals and objectives are, determine appropriate outcomes and a baseline for starting the project and then plan and execute at your location. As with all my programs, there is no time-based fee component for this program. I begin after the plan is approved and work through to the completion of all outcomes, no matter how long it takes. Due to the unique nature of this work and the unique demands of each individual brand, the investment for this program can only be quoted once we determine the scope of your project.

My Process

  1. I listen to you as you outline your need.  Sometimes we utilize OnsiteReviews.
  2. I then devise an innovation strategy for your business and price it according to the amount and degree of work I need to provide in order to achieve your goals and desired ROI.
  3. I then offer you three options with varying degrees of value.
  4. You then select your option, make payment and then I schedule the work.

My Methodology

Depending on objectives and the organization’s environment, I employ a variety of methods to help those I work with elevate their performance. These include, but aren’t limited, to:

  • Strategic Planning. Work with the leader in “planning the plan”, and facilitating team involvement in its development and execution.
  • Shadowing. Accompany the leader on their rounds and observe their behavior. A feedback session afterwards gives the opportunity to share insights and suggest changes.
  • Problem-solving. Once a problem has been identified, I help the leader develop a solution. After the solution has been implemented, I provide feedback on the results.
  • Process-building. Help design a process to do things in a new or different way. This eliminates frequent changes and decision-making on the run.
  • Scripting. Developing scripts for handling specific situations enables the leader to learn to respond effectively to others.
  • Skills training. This could involve helping the leader learn a new skill, such as making an menu engineering or local-store-marketing.
  • Reading. I stay up-to-date on current management literature and theory and can assign leaders topics for study in areas they need to strengthen or become more familiar with.
  • Organizing. Providing a plan to help a leader manage time, priorities, the back-office and support staff helps many leaders be more effective immediately.
  • Mentoring. Ask some leaders to work briefly with a mentor to learn a new skill.
  • Team-building. Improving the effectiveness of the leader’s team can also boost their effectiveness. This could include helping the leader write an action-plan for his team to follow.
  • Delegating. Many leaders need to be coached on what, when and how to delegate to others. Developing delegation skills can substantially improve an leader’s effectiveness.
  • Managing conflict. Confronting and resolving conflicts frees up energy and time. Teach the leader how to prevent conflict and how to diffuse it once it occurs.
